Declared
a Doctor of the Church by Pope John Paul II (1997)
This is a great event of our lifetime and a wonderful historical portrayal
because it happened so recently. It is a contemporary stained glass portryal
that will reflect the religious mood of our generation to future members of
the St. Theresa Church community. It is a somewhat fanciful portrayal with both
Theresas looking down from heaven as the Pope signs his declaration, but is
symbolic of of the continuance of the Church and the faith. Mother Theresa exemplified
the simplicity of the Saint's life in her humble ministration to the poor and
downtrodden of the world. Her love of God is a reflection of the love described
in the Saint's autobiography.
